Job Description

Working under the guidance of the Lead Inspection Engineer, this role is responsible for developing, planning, and supervising inspection plans and work scopes for pressure systems and equipment, with a particular focus on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and associated piping. The role also involves monitoring welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities to ensure compliance with applicable standards. All inspection activities must be carried out in accordance with the Inspection Body Management System (IBMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transparent long- and short-term inspection plans and scopes of work for pressure equipment and pressure safety valves
  • Review and analyse inspection results, assess trends, and report findings in accordance with Inspection Body Management System (IBMS) requirements.
  • Ensure that inspection data, including relevant information in SAP, is accurately maintained within the IBMS database.
  • Coach, supervise, and monitor the performance of inspection personnel to ensure competency and quality execution.
  • Oversee the execution of inspection work scopes and associated Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
  • Apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle for inspections in alignment with IBMS requirements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) plans. Lead expert groups as needed to ensure RBI plans incorporate Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) guidelines.
  • Monitor the performance of NDT contractors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Serve as the Inspection Technical Authority, providing expert guidance and approvals as required.
  • Develop, review, and select appropriate procedures for the execution of inspection works.
  • Execute and supervise inspection work in line with the independence policy of the Inspection Body.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as the implementation of digital inspection tools, anomaly trending, and lessons learned.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal processes and external regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Materials, or Integrity-related Engineering discipline.
  • Willingness to complete and pass offshore training certification e.g. BOSIET, MIST, OEUK Medical etc.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Substantial experience (typically 5+ years) in the planning, execution, and analysis of inspections for pressure systems within the hydrocarbon production, petrochemical, or process industries.
  • Proven expertise in the principles and application of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), including familiarity with Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs), Written Schemes of Examination (WSEs/WBDAs), Integrity Management Systems (IMS), Pressure Equipment Directives (PED), Pressure Relief Devices (PRDs), and relevant international standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Familiarity with onshore terminal infrastructure and offshore gas platform systems.
  • Knowledge of UK statutory regulations including PSSR, DCR, PUWER, and the role of the Competent Person.
  • Proficient in interpreting NDT methods and inspection data.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and fabrication standards related to inspection and asset integrity.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and application of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
  • Knowledge of the principles and application of Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII).
  • Awareness of corrosion and degradation mechanisms affecting pressure equipment and piping.
  • Proficiency in the use of office IT software and inspection-related databases.

Job Description

We are a leading upstream oil and gas operator with a diversified portfolio of non-operated assets across the UKCS and internationally. With a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence and moving towards operator status, We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented JV Accountant to support the financial management of our joint venture activities.

The JV Accountant is a key part of the finance function responsible for the accurate reporting, cost recovery, and compliance of joint venture operations. This includes ensuring that operated asset costs are properly tracked, billed, and reconciled, as well as maintaining a high standard of JV partner communication and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue monthly and quarterly JV billing statements and cash calls in accordance with Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs).
  • Track and reconcile JV costs, including CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring compliance with budget and AFE controls.
  • Maintain detailed cost records to support JV audits and partner queries.
  • Validate charges and liaise with asset teams to verify spend and variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and JV financial reporting packages.
  • Perform variance analysis on actuals vs. budget and forecast for JV activities.
  • Support planning cycles, including budgeting and reforecasting for JV-related expenditure.

Job Description

The Cost Controller will be responsible for tracking, analysing, and reporting operational costs across the business. This includes close monitoring of capital (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX), supporting budget preparation and forecasting, tracking actual vs. budgeted costs, and working with operations to ensure cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the upstream oil & gas industry, with a solid understanding of field operations and a hands-on approach to financial control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver consistent but appropriate cost engineering structures for projects, modifications and maintenance for ONEgas West
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly CAPEX and OPEX spending across all assets and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reliability models (e.g., RCM, FMEA,) for critical rotating and static equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, turbines).
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following any significant equipment failure or performance deviation; produce clear, actionable reports with lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyse well and production system performance across late-life UKCS assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement production enhancement opportunities, including well interventions, artificial lift optimisation, and debottlenecking activities.

The Administrator provides essential operational and administrative support to the General Manager and Operations Management Team, ensuring seamless day-to-day office functions. By maintaining accurate registers, producing timely reports and presentations, and facilitating third-party technical support, the Administrator enables the management team to focus on strategic priorities and drive organisational performance.

Job Description

The Process Engineer is responsible for assurance and support to the operated assets Onshore (Bacton Gas Plant) and to the gas producing assets in the Southern North Sea of the UK (Onegas West Asset, OGW). With a strong focus on asset integrity and lifecycle extension, the Process Engineer provides technical stewardship across production operations, troubleshooting complex process issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance plant reliability and optimise performance. Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, this role requires close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and discipline engineering teams to ensure that safety-critical systems perform as intended and that operational risks are effectively managed in line with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coaching of Junior staff/ Contractors and engineers
  • Actively participate and integrate discipline contributions to squad work
  • Supporting modifications, day-to-day operational issues and projects.
  • The incumbent is expected to play a leading role in one of the asset squads but also maintain a close connect and where required influence and provide discipline input and assurance to work managed in other squads in OGW.
  • Drive compliance with the essential Process Safety Standards and emissions regulations.
  • Ensure design integrity through fit for purpose application of guidelines, otherwise consciously deviate and ensures deviations are raised to document the risk assessment.
  • Provide process engineering input in various own squad workflows
  • Provide support to producing facilities by appropriate work distributing. This includes (but is not limited to) troubleshooting to resolve operational problems and restore or increase production; carrying out surveillance to enhance reliability and keeping production at capacity; finding optimization and debottlenecking opportunities to reduce OPEX, coordinating and leading Annual Facility Review, keeping process simulation models up to date.
  • Support project departments in delivering new projects through technical review
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Able to act as an independent Process Engineer.
  • Experienced in facility optimization work in the context of WRFM, proven record of being able to initiate and drive opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience in participation in engineering reviews such as HAZOP and IPF/SRS
  • Proficient in process simulation: Unisim, Pipesim, HTRI
  • Understanding of the wider engineering process. Previous work experience on upstream (brownfield) projects and operated assets is preferable.
  • Experience in the upstream oil & gas industry.
  • Knowledge of International Engineering guidelines and standards (e.g. API 520 & 521 as well as equipment specific codes)
  • Knowledge/experience with offshore gas production will be a distinct advantage
  • Flexible in terms of work location, willing to travel. Regular trips to offshore production facilities are an essential dimension of the job.

Our strategy includes targeted investments in late-life oil and gas assets, some of which are in steep production decline. As we move into the next phase of asset stewardship, we seek an experienced and forward-thinking Decommissioning Manager to lead our decommissioning activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all activities post-Cessation of Production.

The Decommissioning Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering the full lifecycle of decommissioning projects, from the Define phase through execution. This includes delivering the approved Decommissioning Programme (DP), managing regulatory and legislative compliance, identifying innovative contracting strategies and partnerships, and overseeing all Decommissioning & Removal (D&R) related contracts. The role is essential to the company’s responsible asset retirement obligations and will drive value through efficiency, collaboration, and best-practice adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Provide technical Decommissioning leadership support to the Leman Alpha Complex, Bacton Terminal and Greater SolePit.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of engineers ensuring high performance and development.
  • Effective management and prioritisation of the team’s workload to ensure the requirements of the organisation are met.
  • Effective supervision and leadership of the team, to ensure compliance with management systems, deliver high quality engineering solutions and high operational excellence across the Assets.
  • Represent Viaro Energy on external industry bodies, ensuring that standards, specifications, guidelines, and strategies pertaining to the Decommissioning discipline conform to the requirements of relevant industry legislation, standards, and guidance.
  • Keeping abreast of, and ensuring compliance with, legislation, standards, and industry guidance.
  • Strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders in matters relating to reliability, including Viaro Senior Management, partners, the NSTA, HSE, BEIS and the IVB.
  • Setting the strongest possible safety performance expectations and hold self and others accountable for same; including, managing risk in a way that meets or exceeds HES requirements but also achieves, as far as practicable, the business objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Forming and stabilising a new UK-based Decommissioning department, following divestment of the Asset from the Shell portfolio. This is an opportunity to set the culture and define the capabilities required for the Decommissioning function.
  • Oversee all Decommissioning activity for Viaro Energy which includes but not limited to review and challenge scopes for non-operated ventures.
  • Lead and manage the preparation and delivery of an approved Decommissioning Programme (DP) for assets nearing or past CoP.
  • Deliver Define Phase documentation in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Develop detailed decommissioning plans including well Plug and Abandonment (P&A), topside and subsea infrastructure removal, and site remediation.
  • Ensure full alignment with UK legislation (e.g., Petroleum Act 1998) and regulatory guidance (e.g., NSTA/OPRED decommissioning requirements).
  • Maintain effective relationships with key regulators including the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), BEIS, and HSE.
  • Monitor and adapt to evolving decommissioning standards and environmental obligations.
  • Act as Contract Owner for all D&R-related agreements, ensuring robust contract strategy, procurement, and contractor performance management.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships, alliances or consortia to enable cost-effective delivery in a resource- and rig-constrained market.
  • Apply market intelligence and lessons learned from peer decommissioning projects to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including Wells, Subsea, HSSE, Finance, Legal, and External Affairs.
  • Represent the company in industry groups and initiatives to promote collaboration and continuous improvement in decommissioning.
  • Lead decommissioning risk assessments and input into company assurance processes.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in a recognised engineering or science related discipline, preferably holding and maintaining UK chartered status and corporate membership of at least one relevant learned institution.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas sector, with 5+ years in decommissioning or late-life asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering complex decommissioning projects in the UKCS or similar basins.
  • Strong understanding of UKCS regulatory frameworks, decommissioning cost structures, and contracting strategies.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and contract management skills.
  • Experience in Well P&A planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with industry consortia, collaborative delivery models, and new technology solutions in decommissioning.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation.
