Volunteering at Hackney City Farm

Colleagues from across the Viaro Energy group recently spent the day volunteering at Hackney City Farm, a local community charity that offers visitors the chance to interact with farm animals and learn about nature we have proudly supported through charitable donations in the past.

The volunteering day provided an opportunity for our team to get hands-on to support the upkeep of the farm and its facilities. Throughout the day, colleagues took part in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Cleaning animal areas
  • Turning compost
  • Raking leaves
  • Painting gates
  • Repairing fences
  • Mucking out stables
  • Watering the gardens

Hackney City Farm plays an important role in the local community, providing a welcoming green space where people can connect with nature, learn about animals, and take part in educational and wellbeing activities.

At the Viaro Energy group, we are committed to creating positive impacts in the communities where we operate, not only through financial support but also through active participation and volunteering.

We would like to thank the team at Hackney City Farm for welcoming us and providing such an enjoyable and rewarding experience. We are proud to support organisations that make a meaningful difference in their local communities and look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
